Distance: 4.5 kms. Leaving from the Altamira district, we take the road that goes from Bidetxe House to the district of Goierri. Around the crossroads itself we can see the remains of the former vine arbors of Busturia. As soon as we begin the walk, we can enjoy an excellent view of Altamira in the foreground, and in the background, all the interior of the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve.

We continue the walk, through a dense eucalyptus plantation, until we arrive at the Iturbe Rural Guest House, from where we will be able to see the interior countryside of Busturia, with the valleys of Apraiz and the district of Paresi in the foreground. A few meters from this point of scenic interest, we can visit the recently restored lime-kiln of Larrago. From here, the path becomes easier and the hills give way to a plateau that runs through meadows, pinewoods and gorse. From the old of Larrazabale School there are beautiful views of the Urdaibai River, the Cantabrian Holm Oak woods of Atxerre and the district of Axpe.

From Urkiobe House we take the track that goes down to the district of Axpe, where we can see the Atlantic countryside with different crops, among them, some vine arbors. We cross a countryside dominated by pine and eucalyptus forests until, after coming down steep slopes, we arrive at the Basque farmhouse known as Mendoitze House from where we arrive at the town centre of Axpe.
